COLD WAR - ALBANIA

For  much of the Cold War, Albania existed not merely on the margins of  Europe, but outside its mental map altogether. While Eastern Europe  oscillated between Soviet domination and cautious reform, Albania  followed a singular path—defined by radical isolation, ideological  rigidity, and paranoia elevated to state doctrine. At the center of this  system stood Enver Hoxha, a leader who ruled for more than four decades and reshaped an entire society in his own image.
